The new South West Arts Education Partnership site has all kinds of interesting information about the organisations which support children and young people’s quality cultural opportunities, to quote them. Plus there are flashing lights – now that can’t be bad.
Are you young and gifted and musical? South West Music School is sniffing out exceptionally talented young musicians (Reggae to Rock, Folk to Flamenco and Bach to Bhangra – and any combination) aged between 8 and 16.
The award-winning Great Create Festival of the Arts (May 20 to June 28), now in its third year, showcases contemporary art in all formats from South West artists. This exhibition, founded and directed by artist Emma Carter, is hosted by the National Trust at Greenway – the woodland estate on the river Dart that was once the holiday home of Agatha Christie. The house has now opened for the first time following a major restoration project.
Up to £200 is up for grabs in each of three categories for Dartmoor Photographic Competition, which is calling for photographers to capture the essence of Dartmoor in Landscape, Heritage and Life.
