
The Exeter Phoenix is looking for a slew of woman artists to take part in an art extravaganza on the eve of International Women’s Day 2010 (Sunday, March 7, 8pm).
Taking place in the art centre’s auditorium with, slots are available for up to 20 minutes per performer, be they professional female musicians, dance artists, poets, writers, filmmakers, animators or performing artists working in any other discipline.
Performers will not be paid, but their work will be widely publicised as part of the event. And the Exeter Phoenix will donate all profits generated from tickets sales to Exeter Women’s Aid.
Artist submissions should consist of a proposal (max 300 words), an artist statement, a CV and/biography and samples of work in CD/DVD format. All submissions should be sent to: Catherine Cartwright, Exeter Phoenix, Bradninch Place, Gandy Street, Exeter EX3 4LS. Deadline for submissions is Monday, November 30.
