Chagford’s Wonderworks Christmas fair is a craft fair run by makers Dartington’s Great Hall will be the stage for soprano Julia Doyle’s Renaissance concert. She’ll perform a varied programme of 16th and 17th century music by some of Europe’s pre-eminent composers, including England’s William Byrd, Henry Purcell and John Dowland and Italy’s Giacomo Carissimi Exeter Northcott’s theatre presents its spring showcase, with the Ministry Of Fear, from Exeter Northcott and Theatre Alibi, together with Oxford Playhouse; Pilot Theatre with The Fever Chart; Forkbeard Fantasy with The Colour Of Nonsense; Whipping It Up; James And The Giant Peach; English Touring Opera’s Don Pasquale, The Marriage Of Figaro, and Benjamin Britten’s Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream; plus The Rainbow Fish, How The Koala Learnt To Hug and Gilbert & Sullivan Gallery 36, Exeter, is holding a Sunday event on November 29, with artists, live music and cake. |
