Aftermath: A reflection of 28 years in the military and of warfare

Aftermath by John McDermott

John McDermott, who’s work is part of the Aftermath exhibition at Exeter Castle, has said: “My artwork is a reflection on my own 28 years in the military and of warfare.”

In the third part of John’s interviews with Exeter-based artist Volkhardt Muller, John talks about the issues surrounding the lack of support for those showing the signs of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Aftermath runs from Friday, June 25 to Sunday, July 4 at Exeter Castle, Devon. Free entry and open daily between 10am and 6pm.
