Colleges open up facilities to artists in Artists Access to Art Colleges scheme

Artists Access to Art Colleges Scheme

Plymouth College of Art is one of 32 universities and colleges that hosts the Artists Access to Art Colleges scheme – AA2A scheme – offering four professional artists and designer/makers access to its workshops and supporting facilities to develop their work.

Each place offers 100 hours access to be used between October 2010 and April 2011, in the applied arts (ceramics, glass, metals, painting, printmaking, fashion, design (graphics, illustration, animation, design for games) and photomedia (photography, video, film) areas and also includes access to the college library and access to the college’s exhibitions and visiting artist lecture programmes.

And successful applicants receive £220 towards materials and travel costs.

The deadline for applications is Monday, September 20.
