THG Open 2010 Renewal & Regeneration launched with prize giving

THG – the new acronymn the Thelma Hulbert Gallery – is launching its THG Open 2010 Renewal & Regeneration tomorrow (Saturday, July 24) with a special opening from 1-3pm, including a prize giving at 2pm.

Forty-five artists were selected by a panel of five arts professionals from a field of 117 submitted works, which express artists reactions to the theme of Renewal & Regeneration through sculpture, textiles, photography, printmaking, drawing and mixed media as well as oil and acrylic painting.

Along with three prize winners chosen by the selection panel there’s a chance for viewers to vote for their favourite in The People’s Choice. The winner of this category will be announced at the end of the exhibition. All work is for sale.

THG: Thelma Hulbert Gallery site is in Honiton and there’s free admission. The gallery’s open from, Tuesdays-Saturdays 10am-5pm and the show runs until Saturday, September 11.
