Nature Comes Through

It was Charter Day in Honiton, but that didn’t stop the visitors swarming to THG (the Thelma Hulbert Gallery) in Dowell Street to see the new exhibition, Renewal and Regeneration.

The £300 first prize went to Elana Mosse, a young mum from Honiton, who stunned the judges with a highly original work, Nature Comes Through, composed of small intersecting panels recessed into a deep acrylic frame.

Jonathan Mist

Jonathan Mist and Joy Anderson were joint runners up. Photography student Jonathan recently completed a masters with distinction at The London College of Fashion and Joy is an established painter from Exeter. Well known artists in the show include Robert Jennison, Tony Martin, Rob Woolner and Day Bowman. Others such as 20 year old photographer Emily Pye are exhibiting for the first time.
