Cold Comfort, a week-long event at Exeter’s Spacex, has hot chocolate on offer in its cozy zone, which sounds more like warm, squishy comfort to us, and when they say the gallery will be a hive of production, well, one can’t help but think of Santa’s grotto with all the little elves at this time of year… can one? So, what else is happening?
Cold Comfort will feature a week of immersive installations and events at the gallery, in an alternative run-up to Christmas.
You’ll be able to dress up and pose for a seasonal portrait against a picturesque mountain backdrop or create new work to celebrate the wonder of snow and contribute to an installation of all things white.
And in the cozy zone, along with the hot chocolate, there will be winter crafts, and while you go around, you can collect specially commissioned cards to guide you through the Cold Comfort programme.
Also taking place during Cold Comfort are an Art Club, Winter Tales, a Crafty Social, Take Over Tuesday, Outer Space, Printmaking Workshop, a feature film screening and an art exchange.
• Cold Comfort takes place at the Spacex, Exeter, from Saturday, December 11 to Saturday, December 18.
