Printmaking Summer School at Double Elephant

Exeter’s Double Elephant is offering summer workshops with visiting tutors who lead the field in their specialists areas which promise to take your printmaking to new levels.

Dawn Dupree is leading a Screenprinting Textiles course on Monday and Tuesday, August 22 and 23. The six participants will learn a variety of fabric print techniques with leading artist and tutor, Dawn who has been making textile art since 1990, and has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, creating commissions for both public and private locations. Dawn is a visiting lecturer at Goldsmiths College and senior print tutor at The London Printworks Trust. See Dawn’s gorgeous textiles on her website.

There’s a Collagraph/Carborundum Printmaking workshop with Peter Wray and Judy Collins
 on Thursday and Friday, August 25 and 26.

Tutor, Peter Wray R.E, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and one of UK’s foremost exponents of Collagraph/Carborundum printmaking. He has over 35 years’ of successful teaching experience and enjoys an international reputation as an artist-printmaker.

He will be joined by partner and fellow artist/tutor, Judy Collins, a talented printmaker and gifted teacher with extensive experience of exhibiting throughout the UK. The course is available to eight people. Visit Peter and Judy’s website for background info.
