Plymouth Uni art students show at Martin Bush Gallery, Royal William Yard

Caitlin Law

The annual Plymouth University student art shows give people a unique opportunity to glimpse what is going on behind the closed doors of the university’s art studios and potentially spot the future stars of the art world. This year the Martin Bush Gallery in Plymouth’s Royal William Yard is supporting eight art students from the joint honours degree, students who are studying fine art alongside Art History.

The joint honours students are taking over a third of the Martin Bush Gallery.

They are excited that the show will see their work hanging in a professional environment alongside Martin Bush’s latest paintings.

The Second year show entitled News From Nowhere will be held at two locations at Royal William Yard. The second year single honours fine art show is located in the Mills Bakery and the second year joint honours at the Martin Bush Gallery.

The second year art shows are open to the public from Saturday, May 14 until Saturday, May 21 (10am-6pm at weekends and 10am-7pm during the week). The Martin Bush Gallery is open to the public daily at other times 10.30am-5.30pm and you can find out more at www.martinbush.co.uk

• Travel Info: The 34 bus goes from the Royal Parade to the Royal William Yard on the hour and 30 minutes past the hour up and until 7pm, also there is free parking on site.
