Curated by Josie herself along with Lotte Maia Dinse, nine artists consider commonly accepted notions of desire through transforming commonplace or familiar everyday objects into something concerned with aspiration.
“Often using the same aesthetic language as the popular culture they are appropriating, the works re-evaluate the validity of socially constructed ideals,” says the blurb.
The artists are John Cake & Darren Neave, Russell Chater, Calum F Kerr, Josie McCoy, Heather Joy Riggs, Rose Smith, Lex Thomas and Mimei Thompson.
