On tour from the Ashmolean Museum, this exhibition, selected from Howard Hodgkin’s private collection, includes outstanding, diverse and beautiful paintings from throughout the Mughal period (c1550-1850): illustrations of epics and myths, royal portraits, scenes of court life and a spectacular group of elephant portraits.
It’s at the National Museum Cardiff from July 27 to November 3
