Plymouth and South West schools, colleges and universities are being invited to take part in a unique multimedia project connected to one of the most high-profile works in the British Art Show 7: In the Days of the Comet.
Devon Artist Network has announced a 42% increase in artists and makers taking part in Devon Open Studios 2011, compared to last year. There will be more than 370 artists, crafts-people and designer/makers showing in 146 venues across the county.
From Jane Austen to Thai Chai – Plymouth University students will be showing off their artistic talents to the public at a special event this week.
Nigel is a painter working within the mediums of painting and photography. “My paintings are a creative response to a setting using partly observed and partly automatic mark making. These visual perceptions include light, colour, overlaid forms and peripheral reflections which altogether create a complex multi-layered image.”
