The Uninvited, Songs and Voice of Exile, a series for stories for refugees and exiles from all over the world, past and present will be a The Plough Arts Centre, Torrington on Wednesday, October 14 at 8pm.
Poems, writings and testimonies flow into songs – Spanish, Filipino, Farsi, Bosnian – sung both in the original language and in English translation.
After the performance there will be a post show, panel-led discussion with professionals who work with refugees and ethnic minorities, including Julia Meiklejohn, chair of refugee action and Dr Suaad Genem George from Devon Racial Equality Council.
