Vanessa Bowman, David Brayne and June Launder will be part of The Figure, The Landscape and The Still Life exhibition at the White Space Gallery, Totnes, from Saturday, October 3 to Saturday, October 17.
Vanessa Bowman, who is a successful printed textile designer as well as painter, has developed her oil still lives in studies of dimension using object from her home.
David Brayne has contributed work annually to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Laing Landscape Competition, the Royal West of England Academy and the Millfield Open, in which he has been a prize-winner three times.
June Launder spends much time sketching at the sea’s edge. From her beach hut studio she then turns these drawings to paintings, not directly transposing, but adding and removing elements from earlier impressions and relying on instinctive notes jotted alongside the sketches
