The PIGDOGANDMONKEYFESTOS has rounded up more than 50 renowned artists to ‘explore contemporary artists’ manifestos and works inspired by the manifesto format’, and it’s coming to the Exeter Phoenix.

Shaun Doyle and Mally Mallinson have curated the exhibition, which is driven and defined by a multitude of vibrant interpretations, or has it been called elsewhere ‘celebrating the stupidity of declaring your intentions to the world with the hope of changing it‘.

PIGDOGANDMONKEYFESTOS is ‘a rare chance to observe diverse, artistic thinking in one immersive and engaging assemblage’, says the blurb.

It celebrates the variance and freedom of contemporary art practice of an impressive array of national and international artist, including Sarah Lucas, Billy Childish and Simon Fujiwara.

PIGDOGANDMONKEYFESTOS is at the Exeter Phoenix from January 23 to March 7, 2015
