Bath’s Edgar Modern gallery will be celebrating the festive season by presenting Vigil to the Unnamed Father, an alternative Christmas Exhibition.
It will feature leading International Folk and Outsider work alongside complimentary selected pieces by long-standing gallery artists.
The exhibition explores the sense of spirituality inherent in deep and defining family bonds. The Unnamed Father, a powerful figure exists as a protector and adversary from our first moments of life.
Each piece in the exhibition will explore the relationship between family and spirituality. Acting as a vigil, a period of waiting and watching. An invitation to reflect.
The exhibition will feature work by Rain, Tyler Stone, John Harland, Henrietta Dubrey, M Lindsey, Louis Vuittonet, Melanie Tomlinson and more.
Exhibition opening in Bath at Edgar Modern, December 7 2014 to January 6 2015.
