ArtsMatrix relaunched at Plymouth College of Art

ArtsMartix – the professional skills and enterprise development agency for the arts and Creative Industries in the South West –  relaunches today (Thursday, January 20) at Plymouth College of Art.

The Culture Show’s Matthew Collings, art critic and broadcaster, who is also famous for presenting the Turner Prize programme on Channel 4 will be a guest speaker at the celebration.

Matthew is a British art critic and broadcaster, well known for presenting the Turner Prize programme on Channel 4 and The Culture Show on BBC 2. He has been responsible for writing and presenting many documentary films for the BBC about individual artists and historical subjects related to the arts. Matthew is an established author and an artist within his own right having trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art.

Entertainment is by Mama Tokus, and cocktails provided by the B-Bar will ensure a great, informal party atmosphere. The event is free, but booking is essential via the new website

Hannah Revell, creative services development manager for ArtsMatrix said: “We are thrilled to re-launch this important service for the creative sector with a beautiful new website and programme of events. A great deal of work has taken place of the past twelve months to gather and respond to the needs of members, their business and creative practice.”

“We urge everyone with an interest in the arts to log on to the new website to try it out. It’s the perfect place for the public to engage with artists, buy and commission works, and an opportunity for members to showcase their work to a wide audience, and much more, so don’t miss out.”
