Each night is a one-off, and not only do they provide the gags and gaffes for an evening that is sometimes comic, sometimes tragic, they also aim to build a story around the improv.
The group, formed by Tai Lawrence and students at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and first performed in June 2008 have performed throughout London and at various festivals, including the Lyric Studio in Hammersmith, The Old Vic Tunnels, The Century Club (with Stephen K Amos), and The Oubliette Arthouse (Mayfair and Southwark), along with the Edinburgh, Brighton and The Nursery Theatre festivals.
The Improsarios are fast making a name for themselves, and you can catch them at the Exeter Fringe.
• The Improsarios are at the Black Box Studio, Exeter Phoenix from June 27 to July 2 (no shows on June 29 and 30). Tickets are £7/£5 concessions. Call the box office on 01392 667080
