Five aspiring photographers have been shortlisted in a nationwide competition to find the music industry’s next big photography star.
As part of the Relentless Energy Drink Here to be Heard competition, which aims to unearth the UK’s best creative talents, five photographers are aiming to give their careers a huge boost by winning the final.
These five talented hopefuls beat the competition to be named as finalist by world-renowned photographer Dean Chalkley. The winner will be chosen after one final task in which candidates will compete to take the best selection of photos at this year’s Relentless Live gig, headlined by Biffy Clyro.
The winner will have their work showcased in a music photo gallery on NME.com as well as a live exhibition of their best work in the Relentless pop-up store at No.5 Denmark Street in London.
Dean Chalkley, who is known for his work with music icons such as Daft Punk, Noel Gallagher and Paul McCartney, will review the finalists’ efforts after Relentless Live to name the overall winner.
The finalists are Corinne Cumming (see above), Gemma Bell, Hannah Meadows, Stephen Cox and Steve Smailes.
