Drawn to the Valley artists are inviting Plymouth artists to open their studios (or homes, or sheds) during the first week of the British Art Show 2011, beginning September 17. The British Art Show will attract extra art-lovers to Plymouth, and Drawn to the Valley will be part of the Fringe events taking place.
The launch of the new £19 million performance centre at the University College Falmouth’s Tremough Campus, Penryn, is being celebrated by a vibrant, and largely free, programme of contemporary art.

Nobel Prize winning novelist and Cornwall’s most famous literary son, the late Sir William Golding, is being celebrated by the University of Exeter at a special memorial lecture on Thursday, March 5. Golding’s daughter, Judy Carver is showing her support by attending and sponsoring the inaugural lecture organised by the University’s Centre for South West Writing.
