The Appledore Arts Festival has introduced a fellowship for artists who are studying, or have recently completed, a visual arts degree.
Martin Joiner picked up the first of these fellowships and is helpfully described as making ‘unusual and challenging installations’.
We shuffled off to his YouTube page to find out exactly what that meant and came across his plastic bag burning film in search of a noise reminiscent of youth (the image is a screenshot of his fellowship project, too)
Appledore Arts Festival takes place from Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31.
