Mike Jory‘s On Pastures New exhibition launched last night at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, at Exeter University and runs until Friday, May 15.
The Exeter-based artists has exhibited at the National Gallery and Westminster Gallery in London, and the latest exhibition is inspired by animals in groups.
He said: “Herds of cows in particular are full of comical characters especially when they realise you’re watching them. I’m drawn to the emotion of my subjects, whether human or animal, and try to bring that to the fore in my work.”
