Dark smoky lines and silhouettes feature strongly in the printmaking of Emma Molony. Inspired by the papercuts of Hans Christian Anderson, there’s something of the fairy tale to a lot of her work. Lee Morgan spoke to her.
Emma is also outreach co-ordinator for Double Elephant Print Workshop in Exeter, and her Print-on-Prescription scheme to gives adults dealing with mental health issues the opportunity to explore printmaking on a weekly basis and use professional printmaking facilities.
Her wall hangings, wall paper prints and cards will be on display at the Bomb Shelter, Fore Street, Beer until Sunday, September 20 as part of Devon Open Studios.
