Bakers of Colyton have been traditionally processing top quality leather for centuries to supply distinguished shoemakers and top stables. This exhibition captures a nearly forgotten rural way of life, revealing the time and care taken in this ancient tanning process, as well as showing beautifully-made items crafted from oak tanned leather.
