Divertimento founder, Totnes-based cellist Vicky Evans writes: ‘Dear Friends & Concert-goers, do join the Divertimento Piano Trio for an evening of scintillating music, featuring Beethoven’s celebrated ‘Archduke’ Trio Op.97, regarded by many as the greatest of all works for violin, cello and piano.
‘Divertimento Trio also pays tribute to Debussy on the 100th anniversary of his death with his charmingly irresistible Piano Trio, written at the age of 18.
‘Complementing the programme are three exotic arrangements of traditional folksongs from the Far East, including Japan’s famous Sakura – which depicts spring, the season of cherry blossoms.
‘A veritable musical feast for the chamber music lover awaits! Looking forward to seeing as many as possible at each venue!’
