If you’re a Baroque fan, then it doesn’t get much better than Devon Baroque – and you don’t have to drive up to London or beyond, to hear them.
There smaller Chamber Ensemble – Persephone Gibbs and Julie Hill (violins), Barbara Degener (cello), and Andrew Wilson-Dickson (harpsichord) present a fascinating programme entitled Bach’s Family & Friends at St Mary’s Church, Totnes on Sunday May 27 at 7.30pm.
The works to be performed are:
Johann Bernhard Bach – Ouverture
Johann Goldberg – Trio Sonata in C
CPE Bach – Trio Sonata in C minor (Sanguineus et Melancholicus)
JC Bach Harpsichord – Concerto from Op 1
JS Bach – Final fugue from the Art of Fugue
Together with pieces by Telemann and Pachelbel
