Ben Scott, an all-round musician with a penchant for the organ, will have his first solo concert in Ottery Parish Church in April.
Ben was playing in the church when he was 16 and overheard by church clearner Flo Rowland, who informed organ teacher and concert pianist Ruth Swift, of his skill. He’d already got to grips with the harpsichord, accordion, keyboard, electric, acoustic and bass guitars as well as violin.
He said: “Music allows me to express myself much more than anything else – I just put all my heart and soul into every piece I play.
Tickets for the concert are available from Ottery’s Tourist Information Centre on (01404) 813964.
