With a hint of a chill in the air and tinges of new colour in the hedgerows and trees, Harbour House in Kingsbridge is hosting Autumnal Changes, an open exhibition.
Harbour House Arts co-ordinator Alison Veazey told ArstCulture: “We challenged artists to consider the turn of the season and to welcome the approach of autumn in their artwork. Artists might also take a metaphorical approach to the concept of life progressing.
“Harbour House open art exhibitions are always an eclectic mix of style and medium, but with an overall unity – and autumn is always a popular theme
“This is the second of two open art exhibitions at Harbour House this year. It’s always so encouraging to see new artists taking their first steps in exhibiting, and of course it’s exciting when established artists use our open art exhibitions as an opportunity to take their work in a new direction.
“In 2019 we will have two further open art exhibition opportunities for artists, with Arrivals in the spring and, in the autumn, Patterns. Details of entry will be found on the Harbour House website as the exhibitions draw closer.”
