Stacie Clark, a Cornish Fashion Design graduate from Plymouth College of Art, won first prize in the Urban Designer category of the prestigious London Sponsor Me fashion awards.
Stacie, who was born in Reading and now lives in St Austell, Cornwall, graduated from the college in 2014 with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Fashion. She describes her work, which is now being sold by London-based online fashion magazine MI, as luxury knitwear with designs inspired by a strong love for traditional artisanal crafts.
The awards were established to support emerging fashion designers by providing an annual fashion show and platform for them to showcase their work nationally, acting as a runway for designers of the future.

Stacie said: “I am so humbled to have won Urban Designer at the Sponsor Me Awards 2015! The collections presented by all the designers were great, so it really is a privilege to have won my category.
“Studying at Plymouth College of Art was a great environment for experimenting creatively and I was consistently pushed out my comfort zone to achieve the best I could – which has definitely paid off! The whole experience has been amazing, and I’m now in the process of establishing my own knitwear brand, whilst working as the Fashion Editor for Tribe Magazine. I’m very excited for what is next to come!”
