To celebrate the 350th anniversary of Henry Purcell’s birth, the Totnes Early Music Society will hold a Meet Mr Purcell performance at St Mary’s Church, Totnes, on Saturday (February 28) at 7.30pm.
The performance will be by the Duo Dorado (Hazel Brooks and David Pollock) and will explore also explore Purcell’s contemporaries, including his brother Daniel.
Henry Purcell wrote music for three kings, including Devon’s own (kinda) William of Orange.
