We’re sure it’s kinda reassuring that being cold and miserable would inspire you to write a song about your mum. Jessica Sweetman did just that, and it went down well with the mum concerned, so that’s fine.
Apparently while the songstress was living in Looe, Cornwall, she ran out of money for the electric meter.
She told the Mid-Week Herald: “It was freezing cold and I had no money to go out, so I thought what am I going to do?
“I opened the blinds onto the harbour front, picked up my guitar and wrote the song for my mother.”
Mum Sue said she would turn off the electricity in future to help Jessica write more songs.
