Somerset Art Weeks are taking place again in September 2012, with a fortnight of open studios focusing on the artist as an individual.
Different from the art weeks event in 2011, the open studios event for 2012 is about drawing the open studios event back to its roots, looking at individual artists in their working environment.
It will focus on artists as individuals, how they make their work, their inspiration and creative processes and aims to support artists who want to work professionally and promote their creative business.
The event also encourages new and emerging talents, includes schools opening their doors; and artists working in new emerging practices, such as new-media and site-specific work. Somerset Art Weeks will also organise a curated programme, including special exhibitions and events.
If you are not a member of SAW and wish to take part in Somerset Art Weeks 2012, you will be required to complete a membership application form prior to registration.
Somerset Art Weeks will run from September 15 to 30
